New Website

Hello,
I have just finished revamping my website and one new feature is this News link which is a blog page, which still needs some work as you can see. I’m not sure right now how often I will be updating it, right now but I hope to at least whenever i finish a new painting. On my old site I had a link, “about this painting”, on some of my painting pages, but from now on I will be putting that kind of commentary about my paintings here on this blog.
If you had seen my old site you may have noticed that now I have categorized my paintings into Magical Realism, Animalia (the walking talking type of animals), Landscape and All Paintings, which is a chronological listing of all my paintings. I think the paintings hold together a little better in these groups and I hope it makes it a little easier for you to find what you’re looking for. Some paintings are in two or three of the categories because they seemed to fit in more than one.
I finished my last painting March 13th 2008 and I haven’t painted since then! This is the longest I have gone without painting since 2000 . Since March I have been converting to Mac from PC, renewing my Photoshop skills, building this website, and we spent a month on a family trip to Europe. Starting Monday I ‘m back to painting and don’t plan to take a long break like this again for many years. While in Europe I was able to visit the National Gallery in London and the Louvre in Paris -very inspiring - Can’t wait to paint! -Chris
